Infinix HOT 70 Pro Launched in Pakistan with 5G, 144Hz Display, IP68 and 50MP Sony Camera

Infinix has officially launched the HOT 70 Pro in Pakistan at Rs. 79,999, and the phone is available nationwide from 8 August 2026 through online and offline retail channels.

The launch matters because of where it sits. Rs. 79,999 puts the HOT 70 Pro in the most contested bracket in the Pakistani market, and Infinix has used that budget on three things that were rare here twelve months ago: 5G, IP68 water resistance, and a 144Hz display.

What Infinix confirmed at launch

The company built its announcement around a "Be HOT, Be Different" campaign aimed at younger buyers, and four hardware points came directly from Infinix.

5G connectivity. Until recently, 5G handsets in Pakistan largely started above Rs. 100,000. Commercial 5G is still not live for consumers locally, so this is future-proofing rather than an immediate benefit — relevant for buyers planning to keep the phone three to four years.

IP68 rating. Dust-tight and rated for immersion up to two metres for thirty minutes. Most phones under Rs. 85,000 stop at IP53 or IP64. For monsoon season in Karachi or Lahore, this is arguably the most practical thing on the sheet.

50MP Sony sensor. Infinix named the supplier rather than quoting a bare megapixel figure. Sensor brand alone does not decide image quality — processing matters as much — but the disclosure is more than budget brands usually offer.

Active Matrix Cube design. A rear finish with a dynamic shine treatment that shifts appearance with light and angle. This was the element Infinix pushed hardest at launch.

Infinix CEO Simon Feng said at the launch that smartphones should reflect individuality and inspire confidence rather than function as everyday devices alone.

Where the value sits — and where it doesn't

The Dimensity 7100 paired with a 144Hz panel is a sensible combination for gaming, and the 6000mAh battery with 45W charging covers the two things Pakistani buyers consistently rank highest.

The compromise is the panel type. This is IPS LCD, not AMOLED. The 144Hz refresh rate and 950 nits peak brightness make it a strong LCD, but buyers who prioritise deep blacks and colour saturation will find AMOLED options at similar money. Charging is also wired-only — no wireless charging at this price.

The dedicated microSD slot is worth noting. Many phones force a choice between a second SIM and expandable storage; this one does not.
