GOVT LAUNCHES INTEREST-FREE INSTALLMENT SMARTPHONES SCHEME

The Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) and Pakistan's top instalment provider, KistPay, a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), which is in charge of processing applications and providing the smartphones on convenient interest-free instalments, have joined forces to launch the Smartphone For All initiative, according to the specifics.


Amin-ul-Haque, a federal minister, claimed that anyone can use the programme to buy a mobile phone on interest-free instalments by making a 20–30% down payment. He added that there will be no lengthy application processes or requirements for applicants.


Additionally, he added that the Smartphone For All programme would offer simple, 3 to 12 month interest-free instalments on smartphones priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 100,000.iphone 14
