The Vivo Y21 was officially launched in Pakistan on 9 November 2021 at a starting price of Rs. 27,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. Vivo confirmed that the officially sold Pakistani units were PTA approved and supported all local mobile networks. The phone has now been discontinued, although archived online listings show prices between Rs. 53,499 and Rs. 59,699. These higher figures should not be considered reliable official retail prices for new stock. Its main features include a 6.51-inch HD+ display, Helio P35 processor, 4GB RAM, 13MP dual camera, 5,000mAh battery and 18W charging.

Display

The Vivo Y21 was a sensible entry-level smartphone when it entered Pakistan at Rs. 27,999 in November 2021. It offered a slim body, dependable 5,000mAh battery, 18W charging, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB-C, dedicated memory-card slot and a convenient side fingerprint reader. These features still cover basic calling, messaging, video streaming and social-media needs.

Its age is now the main concern. The Helio P35 processor is weak for demanding applications, the display is limited to HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate, and the camera system is basic. Android 11 is also old, while the phone has no NFC, 5G or official water resistance.

The Vivo Y21 may still make sense as a low-cost used phone in good condition. However, it is not recommended at the archived Rs. 53,499–59,699 prices. Buyers spending that amount can obtain a newer PTA-approved model with more storage, a smoother display, a stronger camera, a larger battery and better software support.

Alternatives to the Vivo Y21
