User Reviews
Users interested in premium foldable smartphones may appreciate the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra for its 165Hz AMOLED displays, large external screen, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, dual 50MP rear cameras, and compact flip design. The ability to use supported applications on the cover display also makes everyday tasks more convenient without opening the phone.
Its wireless charging, IPX8 water resistance, stereo speakers, and premium build add to the overall experience. However, the 4000mAh battery, lack of expandable storage, absence of an ultrawide camera, and additional care required for foldable hardware are important considerations for buyers.
Things to Check Before Buying
1. Examine the Phone After Opening the Box
Carefully check the 6.9-inch foldable display for scratches, dead pixels, lines, touch problems, or unusual brightness.
Open and close the phone several times to make sure the hinge operates smoothly.
Check the folding area for unusual marks, bubbles, separation, or damage.
Make sure the main display opens completely and closes properly.
Test the 165Hz refresh rate on the main display.
Check the 4-inch external display for touch problems, dead pixels, or scratches.
Test the 50MP main camera and confirm autofocus and OIS are working properly.
Test the 50MP telephoto camera and 2x optical zoom.
Check the 32MP selfie camera, flash, and video recording.
Test the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Check both stereo speakers, microphone, vibration motor, and USB Type-C port.
Insert your SIM and test calls and mobile data.
Test 4G and 5G connectivity where available.
Test Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and other available features before leaving the seller.
2. Verify the IMEI Yourself
Dial *#06# to display the phone's IMEI number.
Check the IMEI under Settings > About Phone.
Match the IMEI shown on the phone with the number printed on the box and invoice.
Check the phone's PTA status through the official PTA DIRBS system or by sending the IMEI to 8484.
Insert your SIM and make a test call.
Test mobile data before completing the purchase.
If buying an imported unit, confirm that the exact regional model supports your local network bands.
If you need eSIM, confirm that the specific regional version supports it.
Do not rely only on the seller's claim that the phone is PTA approved.
3. Confirm All Accessories Are Present
Check the included charger, USB Type-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and other accessories.
Confirm that the charger supports the phone's 45W wired charging capability.
Test the charger and cable before completing the purchase.
If wireless charging is important to you, test it with a compatible wireless charger.
Check the USB Type-C port for looseness, dust, or physical damage.
For imported units, confirm whether the charger is original and whether its plug requires an adapter.
4. Check the Warranty Card and Invoice
Make sure the invoice clearly lists the phone model, IMEI, purchase date, and seller details.
Ask whether the phone comes with official local warranty or retailer/importer warranty.
Keep the original invoice and warranty documents safe.
Confirm where warranty service will be provided.
Make sure the invoice matches the exact 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, or 12GB + 512GB variant.
For used or open-box phones, ask whether the device has ever been repaired or opened.
Ask specifically about warranty coverage for the foldable display, hinge, battery, and charging system.
Resale Value — What If You Sell It Later?
The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra was released in 2024, so its resale value will depend on its physical condition, foldable display condition, hinge condition, battery health, PTA status, storage variant, accessories, warranty, and current market demand.
Estimated Resale Price
The provided expected Pakistan prices are:
8GB + 256GB — Rs. 249,999
12GB + 256GB — Rs. 259,999
12GB + 512GB — Rs. 269,999
There is no fixed resale price because foldable smartphones can have a significant difference in used value depending on the condition of the main display and hinge. For a realistic selling price, compare recent Pakistan listings for the same RAM and storage variant in similar condition.
What Affects the Final Price
Main foldable display condition — Scratches, dead pixels, lines, touch issues, or folding-area damage can significantly affect value.
External display condition — Cracks, scratches, or touch problems can reduce the price.
Hinge condition — Looseness, unusual sounds, or folding problems can lower buyer confidence.
Battery health — Battery performance becomes more important as the phone gets older.
PTA status — PTA-approved phones are more convenient for local SIM use.
Storage variant — The 512GB version offers more storage than the 256GB models.
Repair history — Previous display or hinge repairs can affect resale value.
Original accessories — The box, charger, cable, and invoice can improve buyer confidence.
Warranty — Remaining warranty can make the phone more attractive.
Market competition — Newer foldable smartphones can reduce demand for older models.
Tips to Get a Better Resale Price
Keep the original box, charger, USB Type-C cable, and invoice safe.
Use a proper case designed specifically for the Razr 50 Ultra.
Avoid unofficial repairs and low-quality replacement parts.
Protect both the inner folding display and external display from scratches and pressure.
Avoid placing objects between the two halves when closing the phone.
Handle the hinge carefully and avoid unnecessary drops.
Before selling, remove your Google and Motorola accounts and perform a complete factory reset.
Clearly mention the RAM/storage variant, PTA status, condition, battery health, warranty, and repair history in your advertisement.
Take clear photos of both displays, the hinge, back panel, frame, cameras, box, charger, and accessories.
Mention any display, hinge, or repair issue honestly.
Compare current listings for the same variant before setting your asking price.
Alternatives in the Same Budget
Depending on current Pakistan pricing and availability, buyers looking around the Rs. 250,000–270,000 range can also compare the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra with these individual smartphone models:
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 — A premium clamshell foldable with a powerful processor, AMOLED displays, and a polished Samsung software experience.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE — Offers a flagship-style AMOLED display, strong performance, and long-term software support in a traditional smartphone design.
Vivo X200 FE — Provides a compact flagship design, Dimensity 9300+ processor, ZEISS cameras, and a large battery.
Xiaomi 15T Pro — Offers powerful processing, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, advanced cameras, and fast charging.
The exact prices of these alternatives can vary depending on the storage variant, PTA status, seller, warranty, and current availability.
